Polyamory
Polyamory or “many loves” refers to consensually non-monogamous relationships. Here at Cognicare, we understand the unique dynamics often in play within these relationships and can provide an experienced and competent clinician to assist with your needs.
If you are considering the possibility of opening up a monogamous relationship, dealing with current trust issues or just trying to gain communication and coping skills within your relationship, we can help.
The goal is to assist in managing conflict, strengthening communication and negotiating agreements that are satisfactory to all parties.
Kink
Kink is an umbrella term often used to describe a wide variety of consensual relationship practices that explore enjoyable intersections of power, control, sensation, trust, vulnerability, fantasy and intentionality. Although this kind of play can be a rich and satisfying way for people to connect more profoundly with others, it can also involve a lot of work. The added vulnerability and intensity that makes kink interesting, can also bring up issues around trust, trauma and self-esteem. Working with a kink-positive therapist can help to process issues without feeling like you need to hide or defend how you enjoy intimacy with your partners.
