Therapy with Amanda (she, her)
It is important to have a safe space to share any and all of the emotions and thoughts that you experience in your life. As a therapist, my goal is to provide you with the necessary room to heal and grow in a nonjudgmental and empathetic environment. Although we cannot change every circumstance or hardship we face in our lives, there are various ways to build resiliency and establish skills to better cope in situations that may cause distress.
By utilizing approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and mindfulness techniques, I intend to guide you in learning how to remain self-aware and together we will create attainable goals and personalized treatment plans that fit your unique needs. Through the therapeutic relationship, I incorporate a strengths-based approach to promote positive development and guidance for overcoming adversity. My objective will be assisting you in improving the quality of your life and empowering you to be confident in making your own life decisions.
The therapeutic process can bring up unsettling feelings before it gets more comfortable, but the outcome can be extremely rewarding and enriching in the long term. It takes valuable courage to seek therapeutic services and reaching out is half the battle!
