Therapy with Chris (they/them)
Each client comes in as the expert of their own lived-experience seeking support, new tools to continue growth, and to feel truly heard and understood. It’s an honor to be trusted to hold space for people’s stories, walk alongside their pain, and celebrate the pursuit of acceptance and joy.
Within the therapeutic relationship I lean into an eclectic combination of solution focused, action oriented, educational, and strengths based approaches to identify what is underlying your challenge areas and support you in creating change. By centering learning about your neurotype and enacting small shifts, you can learn to reconnect with your body, discover relational and communication tools that actually work, and begin to create a life with more comfort, sustainability, connection, and authenticity.
Areas of specialty include working with teens and adults navigating the complexities of ADHD, late diagnosed/self realized ASD, and LGBTQ+ identities, as well as the experiences often accompanying these neurotypes and identities, such as anxiety, depression, people pleasing, and perfectionism. I also work with adults who are part of the ethically non-monogamous, polyamorous, or kink communities. As somebody with lived experience being neurodivergent, queer/trans, and polyamorous I can offer unique support and perspective to help fellow community members heal and grow.
